St. Patrick’s Day – Tombstone, 1882

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! In 1882, Nellie Cashman organised the St. Patrick’s Day ball in Tombstone. Originally from Co. Cork in Ireland she’s one of Tombstone’s most well known residents. She ran The Russ House restaurant and was well known for her charity and generosity. She ran boarding houses all over Arizona, volunteered as a nurse and also prospected for gold.
