Hello, how are you doing? I have been writing and I do have more posts about the history of Doc Holliday for you and also the Wild West. I’ve also been looking at finding new ways of writing and working on getting a draft of my latest novel completed.
I’m working on writing the new novel right now. It’s a bit slow to write, but building worlds takes time. I’ve had loads of fun reading all kinds of weird and wonderful books. I’m really focusing on reading as many authors as I can and will hopefully start reviewing some of my favorites so that you can read some of the brilliant books that I’m finding. It’s got me thinking about all kinds of thinks like: “what makes a story? and what does a story look like?” I’ve been listening to a lot of audio books too. I’m finding the audio books are a great way of discovering authors that I’ve never read before.
I’ve also been trying to find new ways to write. I’m trying to keep it light and make it fun. I have a notebook that I’ve been putting all kinds of character and plot notes with. I carry it with me and it’s been a great way to help me remember things as they happen and not have to try and recollect things hours later once I’m home.
I’ve also been trying to do quick ten minute writing sessions. My goal is to do this everyday. It doesn’t seem like much, but the words do clock up over time. I’m about a third of the way through the first draft of my new book. I don’t want to tell you what it’s about as I don’t want to jinx it. Honestly, until I get a first draft down, everything is open ended. I’m beginning to love my characters though and love the weird situations that they’re in.
If you’ve already bought a copy of my book A Gentleman In Hell, thank you! I hope that you’re enjoying it and I’m really grateful that you chose my book over others. I know that there are plenty to choose out there, so thank you! If you have the time to write a review, I’d be really grateful. Even just leaving a star rating helps. You can do this onĀ Amazon or Goodreads.
Well, hopefully I’ll write more soon, until then, take care and thank you for your support!
